Excellent work on this.

Thanks! This performed surprisingly well for being about a small, remote country. My friend tagged a prominent Armenian-American podcaster [I dont remember his name, some legal podcast] and he RTed. It got decent notice among Armenians.

Their response to these distressing conclusions that no one would want to hear makes me optimistic for their future; they seem to understand the nature of the position they find themselves in, and being realistic can save a people better than anything else. Also, for a nation as old as Armenia, this unfortunate situation is but a blip.

A country the size and location of Armenia can't afford to not have strong ties with the West or Russia, I think you pinpointed that's exactly why they have been hung out to dry recently. I wouldn't be surprised if we see more territorial concessions in the next decade in the south or east.

and one of their main assets is their diaspora, and they're having what I believe you call a "third generation problem" whereby ethnic Armenians in other countries are so integrated by now they have ever less interest in their country of origin. You know quite a lot of Armenians in other countries left like 100 years ago [so far more than 3 generations, I just believe thats a specific term for this sort of thing.]

Also, you might like my substack as well. Check out where I went after the guys at American Enterprise Institute for saying we should arm Ukraine with nukes after the war.

Extremely distressful conclusion. Armenia will find a way through like a sugar cane will bend but will not break!

I was reminded of the Foreign Policy article cited here and had cause to come looking back for it, and noticed that the author is, "Alex Galitsky, program director of the Armenian National Committee of America in Washington." It was a big mistake and very uncharacteristic of me that I don't seem to have noticed that at the time and referred to the Foreign Policy article as "surprisingly balanced" when obviously it's extremely slanted against Azerbaijan.

My point was that it is surprisingly fair about Russia's role in the country.

Without Armenia, NATO cannot fully penetrate the Caucasus.

End of story.

Understand?

Ya that pretty much applies to NATO doing everything everywhere all the time.
