This week on Dispatches from Clown World, Fauci Pleads the Fifth! It is hard to deny the wisdom of his legal strategy, assuming it doesn’t get him thrown in jail for contempt of Congress, which I think is largely a political matter. However, as the all time chief bureaucrat, he will remain a hero of the managerial class, despite the insane hubris to write it all down. This is a man who was young when the Nixon tapes were coming out!
We go over not just Fauci’s testimony and diary, but also some greatest hits from the era of covid absurdity, a debacle which we have been all-too-ready to forget, though we shouldn’t, even if all efforts to hold them accountable seem to just demonstrate their lack of accountability.
In other topics, perhaps out of order because it seems Alexis threw away my final list after I did successfully bring it home, we have: tariff refund, Mike Pence to be awarded, black SPD, Bunkin’ Cousins, and the Ceuta breach.
Sadly, due to a two year old screaming and grabbing my hand and turning my chair while I was copying my final topic list, we missed this insane eBay settlement story, which I don’t remember from the criminal case in 2021.
