This week on Dispatches from Clown World, Alexis and I unenthusiastically cover Trump’s State of the Union speech, to which we didn’t pay any great amount of attention. However, the silly boycott by many Democrats, Ilhan Omar screaming, and more beg the question “How long can this country survive when half the country always thinks the President is the nation’s greatest enemy?” The prospects certainly do not seem positive.
To follow our underwhelming main section, we have a number of great Clown World stories to cover: the fake dog ban panic, Andrew’s arrest, autistic boy abandoned at ICE protest (I must apologize and note he is only described as “special needs,” not autistic,) Canada is poor (it seems that, in what must be a first, Canada sent a reporter around to Alabama to ask what they are doing right…I hadn’t realized that when joking about sending someone to Canada to ask why they’re poor,) Tourette guy, and Greenland hospital ship.
Lastly, but most importantly, In Memorium: Will Stancil’s Zippy 2011 Honda Fit

For Alexis’s True Crime Corridor, the trial has just began for Kouri Richins, the woman who (allegedly) murdered her husband and then wrote a children’s book about grief.
Our Meeting of the Week is the Geneva meeting on Iran, hosted by the Omanis.
In Clown World History, February 27th marks the 93rd anniversary of the Reichstag Fire, which Alexis had inexplicably never heard of. (Also it will come as no surprise that many modern historians disagree with the assessment John Gunther made in 1936. This is not nearly as universally considered to be a false flag was I thought.)
That is all for this week folks. I kind of miss doing this show weekly, but cannot justify it unless this show starts generating subscriptions, and it seems to more commonly generate cancellations, which is surely a testament to its quality.
